Not going to lie, I love homework lol well at least when it means that I got to watch another movie for class titled "Miss Representation." Through stories by teenage girls and powerful women, the film suggests media negatively depicts women, which leads to a lack of positive female role models and women's under-representation in influential positions.
At one point, Condoleezza Rice said it would be great to have more women to look up to, but you have to look for role models where you can get them and who inspire you for whatever reason ie they don't need to be the same sex as you. She added that you shouldn't wait aroudn for others to inspire you, but that you should just go after your dreams. Her message was extremely empowering and I started wikipediaing her, a sign of a blossoming girl crush.
As the former U.S. Secretary of State, Rice initiated many diplomatic measures and traveled a ton, holding the record for most miles logged in that position. She's been to the Middle East, China, India, Venezuela and more! Now she is a political science prof at Stanford. So, when you're thinking about future careers and internships that involve living a life of power and travel, think Condoleezza Rice.
