Women Take Vancouver at TED2014!

I've been spending a lot of time watching the Sochi Olympics lately. When describing the achievements of many of the competitors, many of the commentators refer to the previous Olympics, which were held in Vancouver, Canada in 2010. I have never been to Vancouver, so I decided to learn more.

Beyond the world-class skiing available at Whistler-Blackcomb, Vancouver also has great shopping, food and breath-taking natural scenery. Next month it will host the 2014 TED Conference. Titled "The Next Chapter", this year's TED Conference offers an opportunity for people to discuss the most important developments of the last 30 years and how they will impact our society. All kinds of people will speak, including visionary women like philanthropist Melinda Gates, former Congresswoman and gun law activist Gabby Giffords, and documentary filmmaker Yoruba Richen.

At the TED Conference, you can hear people give talks on their passions, whether it's politics, science or human rights. In the next 30 years, maybe you'll find yourself on that stage!
